Welcome
Hello and welcome. If you've arrived here feeling overwhelmed, confused or finding it hard to manage some aspect of everyday life, you’re not alone. People come to therapy for many different reasons. Whatever has brought you here, therapy can give you a space to pause, reflect and begin to make sense of your experiences.
Therapy isn't always easy, but it offers an opportunity to understand yourself more deeply, to recognise patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and support you in moving forward with greater awareness and choice.
I offer psychotherapy and counselling to adults who want to explore their experiences within a supportive, open, and authentic therapeutic relationship.

About Me
I trained in transactional analysis (TA) psychotherapy at the Manchester Institute for Psychotherapy. This four-year clinical training forms the foundation of my practice.
My professional background is in NHS mental health services, where I worked as a social worker and mental health professional for 15 years before setting up my private practice. During that time, I supported people in both community and hospital settings, often through times of crisis and change. The work gave me a rich understanding of how life experiences, relationships and circumstances can impact mental health and wellbeing.
Alongside my professional experience, I have also spent time in therapy myself. I've gone through periods in life that have been painful and difficult to navigate, so I know what it is like to be a client as well as a therapist. All of these experiences shape the way I work and the way I relate to my clients.

My Approach
My approach is grounded in transactional analysis (TA) and draws on my wider experience in mental health, as well as my own experiences of therapy, and the many people I've had the privilege of working alongside over the years. Together, these experiences inform the way I understand people and the way I work with each client.

Transactional analysis offers a useful framework for making sense of the different aspects of ourselves that can sometimes feel in conflict, helping us to understand patterns of behaviour and develop healthier ways of relating to ourselves and others. My approach is guided by curiosity, respect and an genuine interest in understanding each person's unique experiences.

Within the therapy room, I aim to provide a warm, respectful and non-judgemental space, where you can explore your thoughts, feelings and behaviours openly, and in confidence. I value and celebrate diversity and welcome people from all backgrounds.

I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and abide by their code of ethics. I am currently working towards accreditation with the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP).
